How to set the default action for the virus scanner

If you want to change the default action of when the virus scanner finds a virus, follow this guide.

How to set the default action for the virus scanner 

Take extra caution when changing the default action. There will be times when a file is a false positive, and changing the default action may have an adverse effect on that file.

1. Login into your Client Dashboard account
2. Click on My Services button in the Welcome page
3. Click on the Manage button
4. Click on the Login to cPanel link on the sidebar menu
5. Once logged into cPanel, click on the cpGuard under the Security section
6. To start a scan, click on the Gear on the far right
7. The pop up will now allow you to set default action when the scanner finds a virus
8. These settings are very powerful, so be careful of change from No action to another. As there will be times a file is a false positive. Therefore, we recommend leaving it as No Action
